Includes a method for rating the tendencies to deposit decomposition products within the fuel system. The test results are indicative of fuel performance during gas turbine operation and can be used to assess the level of deposits that form when liquid fuel contacts a heated surface thatis at a specified temperature. This method uses the Jet Fuel Thermal Oxidation Tester, which subjects the test fuel to conditions which can be related to those occuring in gas turbine engine fuel systems.
