Identification of national standards that are equivalent to international standards

This guide is intended to give guidelines for two variants of the recommended method of identification and to set the conditions under which the use of this method is permitted. Hints are given for other methods. It deals with one of the cases covered in ISO/IEC Guide 21. Two alternative solutions are recommended: in combination with the national letters only, and in combination with the national letters and the nationalnumber of the standard. This guide replaces the first edition, ISO Guide 3-1976.
