A test specimen is subjectes to a constant tensile force corresponding to a stress lower than that at yield, while immersed in a specified liquid at the temperature selected tor testing. Two test methods are specified: Method A: Determination of tensile stress leading to rupture at 100 h; Method B: Determination of the time rupture under a specified tensile stress. The time and/or stress at which the test specimen breaks, isrecorded.
