Hypodermic needles for single use; colour coding for identification

The colour code specified in this standard is applicable for hypodermic needles the hubs of which are made of as well plastics as other materials and also to thin-walled needles. In all cases the colour indicates the external diameter. The range of colours is applicable to two series of hypodermic needles, namely to those with standard diameters for which the colour code is mandatory and to that with recommended diameters for which the colour code is not mandatory.
