Describes a test method applicable to filter cigarettes, but not to cigarettes with coloured filters or to cigarettes with filters containing special additives, for example alkaline additives or active absorbents such as carcoal. The method relates only to coloured components. It is pointed out that the results should not be interpreted wirh respect to any particular constituent of the smoke condensate.
