Sprayed metal coatings are produced by projecting the coating metal, heated to its molten state, in a stream of gas, on to the surface to be coated. ISO 2063 defines the characteristic properties and specifies methods of test of these coatings. It deals firstly with the definition, classification and symbols. It then specifies thickness, apperance and adhesion.
