Two types of magnetic test films have been in wide use that differ in the manner of measuring the magnetic flux level and in the detailed procedure of measurement. A compromise type is described here which provides the adventages of both previous series and meets the needs each had served. Specified are basic technical characteristics for magnetic sound test films for checking, adjusting and measuring soundreproducing channels of motion-picture installations as well as types and technical characteristics of magnetic test film made on different motion-picture films.
