Specifies two methods - potentiometric method; - routine method using a coloured indicator. By convention, the latter method does not apply to wines. The principle of the first method consists in potentiometric titration with standard volumetric sodium hydroxide solution. The second method consists in titrating with standard volumetric sodium hydroxide solution in the presence of phenolphthalein as indicator.
