Specifies the requirements for the chemical composition and the mechanical and physical properties of sintered iron and sintered steel. The properties depend not only on the chemical composition and density, but also on the production methods. Any material described here with less than 85% relative density may be used, whenever oil-impregnated, for bearings or structuralparts requiring surfaces to have bearing properties. Should be read in conjunction with ISO 5755-1 and ISO 5755-3.
