Описание (англ.):
This falling dart method with hemispherical striking head is used for the assessment of plastic sheeting or mouldings under an impact stress applied at right angles to the plane of the sheet. Two methods are described. Method A, a staircase method, is preferred. Auniform energy increment is employed during testing and the energy is decreased or increased by the increment after testing ea specimen depending on the result for the preceding test specimen. Method B is the statistical method. Successive groups of at least ten specimes are tested. Impact failure energy is calculated by statistical methods.
