This Guide complements ISO/IEC Guide 54 and sets forth recommendations on how a testing laboratory accreditation system should be operated so that the accreditations granted may be recognized at a national or an international level. Thefollowing main items are considered: scope and application of accreditation, summary of accreditation process, information for evaluation, appointment of the assessors, assessment and assessment report, proficiency testing, surveillance of accredited laboratories, accreditation for additional tests or types of tests, accredited laboratory test report, sub-contracting.
