Specifies the method to be used to calculate the estimated total volume to apparent mass in air if this is required. Applies only to crude oil tankers on completion of discharge. It is emphasized that it is important to record the volume of free water found in each cargo tank after discharge, and this should be clearly but separately recorded as part of total volume.
