Lays down the dimensions and tolerances in millimetres for basic cylindrical head punches with reduced shank; it also includes shapes. Gives materials and hardness as examples, and specifies the designations of punches. These head punches are standardized in round, oblong, square and rectangular shapes. They are available in 5 to 32 mm shank diameter sizes. The main use of punches defined in ISO 8020 is for punching holes in steel sheets or in sheets ofother materials.
