The term 'impact test' has been omitted intentionally as it is an important characteristic of the apparatus used that it produces rapid deformation trather than a true impact. Specifies a test method for evaluating the resistance of a coating film to cracking and/or stripping from a metallic substrate. The test consists ofsubmitting the panel coated on one face with the product under test on the coated or non-coated face, to the deformation of a falling mass in a guided drop and to determine the minimum height of drop producing cracking and/or stripping of the film.
