Applicable to products having zinc contents in the range 0.1 to 3.0 $ (ml/m). Zinc contents outside this range may be determined, provided that suitable adjustments are made to the mass of the test portion and to the concentrations of the solutions used. Formulas are given to calculate the results of the tests. First part of a series of four parts.
