Specification of composition, physical performance and packaging requirements for self- securing resins based on polymethyl methacrylate primarily used for the fixation of internal orthopaedic endoprotheses. The standard does not deal with toxicity or biocompatibility aspects of the cements but it's aim is the purpose of maintaining the uniformity of the product. Definitions of essential terms are given.
