Gives guidance on methods of stationary testing, in natural outdoor atmospheric conditions, of protective metallic, conversion and other non-organic coatings. Mobile corrosion testing is not included in ISO 4542, but it may be necessary, in some circumstances, to supplement stationary test with mobile tests.
