Describes two methods: 1. Determination through complete hose wall. Used in connection with pricked covers. 2. Determination through the hose inner lining and the reinforcement. Used in connection with an unpricked cover, i.e. gas usually issues from the textile reinforcement at the cut ends. Applicable only to test gases insoluble in water, e.g. alkanes, alkenes and freons. Other test gases can be included. - Technical revision of thefirst edition (ISO 4080:1978).
