The symbolization on the basis of chemical composition and solidus-liquidus temperature is divided into three parts: A first letter B denoting an alloy essentially intended for soldering and brazing, a group of chemical symbols corresponding to the alloy constituents, and a last group of figures indicating the solidus-liquidus temperature of the alloy.
