Specification of the requirements, test methods, coding and identification for hand and power operated instruments which are used by the dentist for the mechanical preparation of root canals for treatment. Attention is drawn to the number coding system of ISO 6360 which specifies a 15 digit number for identification of dental rotary instruments of all types.
