Applies to tests on tobacco, tobacco products and materials used in the manufacture of tobacco products (e.g. papers, cigarette filters) requiring preconditioning. It is not applicable to test method for which particular test conditions are laid down elsewhere. The standard presents a choice of conditioning atmospheres and explains how the test pieces have be conditioned.
