Parallel shanks for milling cutters; part 1: dimensional characteristics of plain parallel shanks

This second edition cancels and replaces, together with ISO 3338-2, the first edition ISO 3338-1975. Specifies the dimensions of plain parallel shanks for milling cutters of diameters 4 to 63 mm. Is applicable to both single-ended cutters and double-ended cutters. Does not apply to threaded shanks. Plain parallel shanks and flatted parallel shanks have the same dimensional characteristics (diameters and lengths) but different tolerances on diameters.
