Defines the smoking parameters and specifies the conditions to be provided for the routine analytical machine smoking of cigarettes. In addition, it specifies the requirements for a routine analytical smoking machine complying with the conditions indicated. The special characteristics of a typical smoking machine incorporating a piston type of puffing mechanism are described in Annex A, while Annex B includes, inter alia, a diagram of a puff profile.
