The method is applicable primarily to test pieces prepared in the laboratory under standard conditions. The rubber is assembled between four parallel rigid plates. Principle, apparatus, shape and dimension, preparation, number and conditioning of the test pieces as well as the time-lapse between vulcanization and testing and the temperature of the test are given.
