Describes a method for the determination of the tensile properties of plastics in the form of standard specimens, tested under defined conditions of pretreatment, temperature, humidity and rate of separation of grips. Three types of test specimen are specified: type 1 for laminates, type 2 for thermoplastics with high elongations at break and type 3 for thermosetting moulding materials.
