Deals with two methods: a hot-mill method and an oven method for determining the moisture content and content of volatile matters. Ruitable for rubbers having an unsaturated carbon chain. When used for other rubbers it is necessary to prove that the change in mass is due solely to loss of original volatile matter and not to rubber degradation. Replaces the first edition (ISO 248-1978) and incorporates draft amendment 1.
