Establishes a system of designation for POM thermoplastic materials, which may be used as the basis for specifications. The types of POM plastic are differentiated from each other by the following designatory properties: tensile/flexural modulus, melt flow rate, and information about basic polymer parameters, intended application, method of processing, important properties, additives, colour, fillers andreinforcing materials. The system is applicable to all POM homopolymers and to copolymers of POM and blends of polymers containing POM.
