This standard gives a classification of and specifies requirements for polymer materials and it also specifies the test methods to be used to determine compliance with these requirements. The main changes of this revised edition in comparison with first one are found in the test procedures, the calculation of water sorption and solubility and the test procedures for colour stability to light. Specific qualitative and quantitativerequirements for freedom from biological hazard are not included.
