Applies to steam boilers of more than 25 litres capacity or more than 1 kg/cm design gauge pressure, from the feedwater inlet connection to the steam outlet connection and to all other connections including required valves andfittings. Superheaters, economizers and other pressure parts directly connected to the boiler without intervening valves and also reheaters are considered to be parts of the boiler. The rules are concerned with registration of national standards, materials, design - strength of pressure parts, workmanship and construction, safety valves, fittings and mountings, testing and inspection, certification and stamping.
