A task model and related routines for controlling multi-task systems using FORTRAN programming language are defined. Application in conjunction with industrial computer control systems enabling access to time and date information, interfacing of programs with executive systems, processing of input and output functions, manipulation of bit strings and a method for file handling. FORTRAN programs should be executable in solitary and multiprogramming environment underreal-time executive system control. Executive system handles exceptions or errors to avoid unwanted abortion or affecting of other tasks.
