This Guide sets forth the recommended procedures when the manufacturer offers or is requested to declare under his sole responsibility to the purchaser that a product is in conformity with specific standards or other technical specifications. Where used, a manufacturer's declaration should be based on the entire contents of a standard. The guidelines given primarily refer toInternational Standards (ISO or IEC), but may also be used for declaring conformity with national standards or other technical specifications.
