Establishing of a code system of designation for plasticized compounds of homo- and copolymers of vinylchloride (PVC-P) thermoplastic materials. The designation system is based on a standardized pattern of data blocks. It consists of a description block, an identity block comprising the International Standard number and an individual item block. which is sudivided into four data blocks with coded information: No.1: Identifidation of the plastic by its symbol (PVC-P); No.2: Position 1: Intended application or method of processing; Position 2 to 4: Important properties, additives or indications; No.3: Designatory properties (coded property levels); No.4: Fillers or reinforcing materials and their content; Lists of codes used in the data blocks are given. Designatory properties of plasticized compounds of PVC-P are Shore hardness, density and stiffness in torsion (300 MPa). Examples of codeddesignations are given.
