At a chosen exposure temperature the variations in the numerical value of a chosen property are determined as a function of time. The procedure is continued until the defined treshold value of that property is reached. Further specimens are exposed at least two other temperatures and the variations in the relevantproperty are determined. For the selection of the end point two factors have to be agreed: a) the period of time for which a time-temperature limit shall be estimated (recommended time is 20 000 h); b) the acceptable treshold value of the chosen property, depending on the intended use.
