The glass is suitable especially to high-proof spirits. It consists of a graduated cup (of 'tulip' or 'thistle' shape) supported by a stem resting on a base. The opening of the cup is narrower than the convex part so as to concentrate the odours. Further are given physical, dimensoinal and special characteristics. An annex gives recommendations for use.
