Applies to electrically welded round steel short link chains. Includes non-calibrated chains for use on cranes, in chain slings and for general lifting purposes and calibrated chains for use with chain hoists and other lifting appliances. Covers short link lifting chains complying with ISO 1835, ISO 1836, ISO 3075, ISO 3076, ISO 3077. Surface hardened chains are not included in the provisions of ISO 1834.
