Specification of the particular features of tensile testing of glass reinforced materials. Three types of tensile test specimens are specified: Type 1: as usual (dumb-bell), Type 2: rectangular, type 3: rectangular with adhesive bonded parallelepipedic end pieces. Recommendations are given for the testing equipment, the chioce of test specimen type depending on the material to be tested, machining of test specimens, testing speed and operating techique.
