Covers the evaluation of rubber for industrial applications, e.g. of tyres or seals. The apparatus consists of a test cell in which the test piece may be clamped in a gas-tight manner round its periphery. A means of indicating gas pressure upt o about 500 kPa shall be connected to the high-pressure side of the cell. The test cell shall be made of metal and of sufficient mass to facilitate temperature stability. Replaces the first edition (ISO 1399-1976).
