This part (the second edition) spezifies both geometrical and practical tests on these general purpose and normal accuracy table-type boring and milling machines, and gives the corresponding permissible deviations which apply. Concerns machines which have a movable table, and possibly a facing head. It deals only with the verification of the accuracy of the machine. It does not apply to the testing ofthe running of the machine or to characteristics, which shall generally be checked before the accuracy is tested.
