This Technical Report recommends methods of evaluating the safety of dental materials. It excludes pharmacological agents except those directly applied during restorative and endodontic treatment and tests for environmental factors and dental equipment. It provides toxicity and labelling requirements and test methods for dental materials, dental materials containing drugs and drugs specifically related to treatment with dentalmaterials.
