Описание (англ.):
The method is applicable only to fats and oils with a melting point below 45 degrees centigrade. It consists in purifying of a test portion by column chromatography, after neutralization, where necessary, of any free fatty acids. Then partial enzymatic hydrolysis of the glycerides to yield 2-monoglycerides, separation of the monoglycerides by thin layer chromatography and determination of their fatty acidcomposition by gas chromatography. An annex describes the preparation of lipase and checking its activity.
