Establishing of a code of designation for Ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer thermoplastics (E/VAC). The designation system is based on a standardized pattern of data blocks. It consists of a description block, an identity block comprising the International Standard number and an individual item block, which is sudivided into four data blocks with coded information: No.1: Identification of the plastic by its symbol (E/VAC) and its vinylacetate content, coded by two figures No.2: Position 1: Intended application or method of processing; Position 2 to 4: Important properties, additives or indications; No.3: Designatory properties (coded property levels); No.4: Fillers or reinforcing materials and their content; Lists of codes used in the data blocks are given.Designatory property of E/VAC - thermoplastics is the melt flow rate. Examples of coded designations are given.
